Zusammenfassung: | <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The three structural isomers bilirubin IXα (<jats:bold>1a</jats:bold>), IIIα (<jats:bold>2a</jats:bold>), and XIIIα (<jats:bold>3a</jats:bold>) have been separated on a preparative scale by high‐performance low‐pressure liquid chromatography. They were converted into their dimethyl esters <jats:bold>1b, 2b</jats:bold>, and <jats:bold>3b</jats:bold> and characterized by UV, IR, MS, and fully assigned <jats:sup>1</jats:sup>H NMR data. NMR is the only spectroscopic method which makes it possible to analyze mixtures of the three isomeric dimethyl esters quantitatively.</jats:p> |
